What are the Best Sunglasses for Your Face Shape?
A pair of sunglasses is an inevitable accessory that everyone should have in their wardrobe. And of course the more items you have - the better. It's always nice to have different styles and colors of shades. However, if you want to go lean and have only one pair of shades you should consider buying those that flatter your face the most.

Lets start with some GENERAL TIPS not to look awkward in your specs.

  • The lower edge should not sit on your cheeks, even when you smile.
  • Color is important! Like clothes or jewelry, specs should complement your skin tone or eye color.
  • Aviator sunglasses will always be in trend. However, be careful, if they sit too low and wide on your cheeks your face will look droopy. Try to choose sunglasses that don't sit lower than the widest part of your nose.
  • Sunglasses usually work best for a face when the top half repeats the natural shape of the eyebrows.
  • It is important that sunglasses don't go too high onto forehead.
  • Choose a style where the eyes are in the middle of the lenses.

If we go deeper into details we can talk about different face shapes and frames that suit them.

Generally there are 4 main face shapes: Round, Oval, Heart and Square.

Description: Full cheeks, Rounded chin, Equal length and width, Wide forehead

Recommendations: Strong details, Wider than tall lenses, Nose pads to keep off cheeks. Try angular or geometric styles, avoid round or oval shapes.

Description: Balanced features, High cheekbones, Chin narrower than forehead

Recommendations: Bold shapes, Fun colors and textures, Size that maintains balance

You are lucky if you have this shape as usually any frame looks good on it. Rectangular and geometric shapes will look better than round frames.

Description: Prominent jawline, Angular features, Wide forehead, Square chin.

Recommendations: Round or upswept shapes, Thinner frames, Neutral colors.

With square faces, the trick is to choose a pair of sunglasses that balance it out, oval or round frames will look nice.

Description: Broad forehead, Pointed, narrow chin, High cheekbones

Recommendations: Frames wider than forehead, Details on lower half, Light colors

Avoid frames that are wider at the top, as these will emphasise the face shape.

We hope you will have wonderful time shopping for your new sunglasses!
